Responsibility: N4A&"1d&  
1.    Perform value-engineering analysis on current processes and designs. Investigate cost-saving measures wherever possible and prepare the necessary ECO's or help facilitate customer ECO’s in support of Newport’s OEM sub-assembly business. V;H d)v( j  
2.    Develop and document manufacturing process for Opto-mech products, including assembly, alignment and testing. Take from prototype stage into full sales released product stage. *&(2`#C;  
3.    Resolve product and process failures, define and implement corrective action plans to eliminate failure modes. Q^[e/U,  
4.    Keep abreast of state-of-the-art developments in relevant manufacturing technologies and production equipment. Prepare and champion proposals for improvements and upgrades of manufacturing capability. Specify the application of production equipment. 5.    Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. #NW Z
